Il Geko is a Bed & Breakfast located in Lustra, in the heart of the National Park of Cilento and Vallo di Diano in the south of Italy.

You can visit the Amalfi Coast, reach Capri by boat, make excursions to Pompei, Herculaneum and visit Naples which is the largest city in the south of Italy.

Sea lovers can can enjoy many destinations such as the delightful bays of Trentova and San Francesco in Agropoli, 15 km and about 20 minutes by car (the traffic starts in Agropoli), Punta Tresino in S.Maria di Castellabate, 18 km and all the stunning coast of Cilento.
Among other places there are Acciaroli, Ascea, Palinuro and Camerota.

Trekkers have plenty of choices with the 1800 km of trails which cross hills above crystal clear sea waters and magnificent mountains and villages which tell the history and traditions of the Park. In the highest part of Lustra’s territory stands a medieval castle which overlooks the village and our B&B. In Agropoli there is the Angioino-Aragonese castle and in the village of Vatolla there is the ancient De Vargas palace where the philosopher Gian Battista Vico spent some time.

Cilento is a unique territory with many historical and archaeological sites, such as the magnificent Paestum and Velia, many medieval villages, marine and mountain reserves. The delicious and healthy food and life style, the Mediterranean Diet, was studied and promoted here by Ancel Keyes. It is a UNESCO Human Heritage site and awarded every year with the prestigious Blue Flag .
The Blue Flag is an international award given by the Foundation for Environmental Education (FEE) to local councils for their environmental education, water quality and environmental management, services and security.
